A frugal travel blogger/photographer trying to make the best of a shoestring budget and expensive hobbies. I love to travel, craft, and pet doggos, let's see how this all pans out!
The video is pawsome! Wish I was able to get video...I'm so happy to visit with another canine cacher! Thanks for sharing your adventure
We sure do like watching other caching dogs...Looks like you have a great day in the woods! Wish my mom could do video but she's a techie boob BOL!
Awe Gizmo, thanks! Tell your mom to keep at it! If she can find as many caches and be a geocaching expert like she is, then she can figure out a digital camera and video! We're just lucky to live with two humans that do A LOT of Photography and technical stuff. Heck, when they're bored they dress Pepper up in costumes and take pictures... WHEN THE'RE BORED! Anyways, keep at it, and there's tons of online resources for doing photography and video (even if your mom's gotta hold your leash while she's doing it!).
I have never heard of geocaching! I did watch the video, but still am confused as to what it is. It sounds interesting. Will have to google it! Merry Christmas by the way :)
Thanks Rebekah, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too!Geocaching is an interesting outdoor hobby where you get GPS coordinates from a website or other location and track down hidden "treasures" out in the wild. These treasures have a logbook where you can document your visit, and sometimes little prizes for you to take home. It's a little inspiration for me to take my dogs out as often as I can! There are geocaches in state parks, your local neighborhood, even under street lamp posts. You can learn more at geocaching.com!
Looks like fun!Happy WW!
(Well, fun, except for the thorns and the pill bugs.) :)
Lol, thanks Jackie! Yeah, it was pretty bad. The first Geocache actually had so much mildew in it I had to turn off the camera and cough for a little while, :( .... When we finally got home I spent 5 minutes pulling thorns out of Brave Bender's forelegs and out of my thighs....terrible...
That's pretty neat, I'd never even heard the term until today. :)
Hey Mail4Rosey! Yeah, Geocaching is a relatively new hobby, but we sure do love it. We would have never known about if it Bender didn't drag me through some brambles one day and stumbled over a geocache (literally, have the poison ivy scars to prove it!).... If you're ever interested you can learn more about it on geocaching.com! Plus, you can do a lot of it with a smartphone!
Thanks for joining and sharing Wordless Wednesday Bloggers! Hope your geocaching goes more smoothly next time!
Pawsome! Geocaching is perfect for doggies!Merry Christmas!
